Hope

I lost access to my website for 3 days and was extremely worried. But now that I have it back, let's begin ✍️:

I have 21 subscribers from 9 countries 🌎 at this point and it makes me excited to share my thoughts with you.

🧠 Quote that I'm pondering -

'When you sign up to run a marathon, you don't want a taxi πŸš• to take you to the finish line.'

- Derek Sivers.

This made me put on a thinking cap πŸ™‡πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ because, in the end, it is about who you want to be, rather than what you want to have. Notice, there is a huge difference between the two. If I sign up for a marathon and I win by cheating, I wouldn't feel good inside. On the other hand, if I sign up for a marathon, train for 6 months, and literally become the person who goes on to win the marathon, now that is satisfaction!

I speak to so many people about their goals and they always talk either about the kind of house they want to have, the amount of money they want in their bank account or the car they want to drive. Very rarely, do I hear someone say what kind of man/woman they want to be.

🐦 Twitter Thread I found interesting -

This thread's title might seem cliched but it has some really good values that you can make your own.

πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ’» How to make your own website in 1-hour tutorial -

Filmed a short video on how and why you should have your own website. Give it a watch πŸ‘€ if you want to know the benefits of having your own website.

Top 5 Reasons to have your own website:

  1. It might help you land a job.
  2. You become a better writer ✍️ when you publish blogs/newsletters.
  3. It is kind of like owning a piece of land on the internet.
  4. Like-minded people will find you.
  5. You can sell courses or physical/digital products and monetize πŸ’° the website later on.

🎧 The Podcast I'm listening to -

Why I like this author's (Derek Sivers) writing so much? Out of many reasons, I'll give you one. He asked in one of his blog titled 'Would you make your art if you were the last person on earth?'

This got me thinking - Β What will I create if I would be the last person on earth? Would I still write? Would I still train my body? Would I still film? The answer would be hard to believe but I'd say yes to all three!

So a questions to ask yourself is:

- Β 'Will I still do this activity if I never told anyone about it'?

Reply to this email and let me know what art would you create/what activity would you still enjoy doing if you were the last person on this earth.

That's all for today.

See you. Bye Bye ✌️
