Hello From Amsterdam!

Hello From Amsterdam!
The expensive city of bicycles, marijuana, cool people and lots of opportunities.

Out of all the cities I have been to in Europe, Amsterdam has given me an extremely different feeling. I am spending 4 days here. Since I am traveling for work, the first two days were just work. The remaining 2 days are being spent only walking around the whole city. My friend and I walked about 20 kilometers each day and only took the metro once in a while.

Every morning we get ready and walk around the city center in search of a new cafe to have our first coffee. Luckily, Amsterdam is filled with a huge number of cafes so it isn't hard to suddenly spot an aesthetic cafe and feel the excitement to try their coffee and check the vibe inside.

One of the best things about these cafes is that no matter what time you go inside, you will always meet someone working on something cool. I met a guy who writes on Twitter for a living. Isn't that insane? He quit his day job when he had 6 months of money saved, he started writing threads on Twitter and now he makes a full-time living by the creator payout check he receives at the end of each month from Twitter.

I usually carry a small journal with me with a black-gel pen whenever I travel. Somehow this old-school way suits me more because when I write physically on a piece of paper, I remember that particular emotion even until later on. Suppose I write an idea for a video that I want to film in the coming week. After a week, when I am back home in Poland and I start to film that video, I will open my notes and I will remember the exact emotion I was feeling when I was writing my journal a week ago in that particular cafe in Amsterdam.

Writing on laptop in the notes app, just won't do it, sorry.

One day, I will move to Amsterdam for a few months, get myself a bicycle, enroll myself in intensive Dutch language classes, and just film videos and write for a living.

And then I will wake up from this dream, still in Poland 😞 🤣

But hey, who knows?

Peace Out.

See you next week.
