I Passed The Hardest Exam Of My Life!

Weekly newsletters are back! First and foremost, apologies for disappearing for 2 months. I was in India for the whole of November and preparing for this exam in December. So what exactly was this exam? It was a Polish B1 language exam to qualify for permanent residence in Europe!

I started preparing for this exam seriously in 2020. After going to the language school for 4 months, I gave up.

Then in 2021, I managed to go to classes for 5 months straight and then I gave up.

Similarly in 2022, I went to the Polish language classes for about 6 months only to eventually give up.

But in 2023, I started off extremely strong and managed to continuously go to school for 8 months until I gave up yet again! It was so hard because I was trying to convince myself I needed to like this language. But in reality, I always used to think - "It was so much fun when I was learning Spanish, so many countries speak Spanish. On the other hand, only 1 country (Poland) speaks Polish. Additionally, the grammar is extremely hard."

I took a long vacation to India, came back to Poland, and decided to take 20-hour weekend classes leading up to a crazy exam. During the speaking part, I don't know how I did so well. Probably everything I had learned all these years just came back to me.

The biggest credit goes to my fiancée who has been helping me every single day for the last 3 years.

What now?

Well now, I do not have to spend my weekends on something boring. I will have time to film, write, and create something new every weekend!

What is something big you are trying to achieve? It might be small for someone else, but if it is big and meaningful for you, go for it. I hope you manage to be disciplined for as long as it takes to take you there.
