Short Story About Me & My Dog!

Short Story About Me & My Dog!

This is Lava, a dog straight from the mountains of Italy. Yes, we literally drove from Poland to Italy to get this dog! You know how in the beginning some Indian dads are telling their kid not to bring any dogs home but literally 2 months later, they are proudly walking the dog on a leash in the neighborhood & talking to the neighbors about the dog like they're professional dog trainers 😂

Well, I am that Indian dad! When we were getting this dog last year, I was saying things like - 'I will take care of it only 10%. You have to do 90%! I am not responsible blah blah'. But slowly, with time, especially when I was taking care of my dog alone (When my family was traveling), it was a beautiful feeling of being responsible for a dog, which is kinda like your baby.

❤️❤️

Here's the short story - Today I got to spend some quality time with my dog after 3 weeks (due to some undisclosed reasons). It was raining heavily from 9:30 pm till 1:00 am, so I took my dog on a walk very late at night. After 5 mins of walking, I saw a grandma walking her dog as well. She recognized my dog and we came closer to each other. This grandma looked very sad for some reason. Usually she used to seem chill and happy but something was wrong today. So I asked her if everything is okay? To my surprise, she gave me a very long answer in Polish. From what I understood, she lost someone very close to her and she feels more and more alone and her kids also do not visit her.

I quickly wrote on my google translate (English to Polish) and showed to her - 'Be strong, everything would be okay, at least you have your dog and he really loves you. He is counting on you to be in a good mood everyday to play and walk with him.'

She smiled, I left.

While walking towards home I realized that it's actually a beautiful feeling to be responsible. When I lost the custody of my dog, I realize how beautiful it was when I was responsible for her, when I was the only one taking care of her; I've stopped playing football, but now I realize how amazing it was when I was responsible for scoring goals for my team.

Also don't be shy to take a responsibility much much bigger than you, you have no idea how capable you are!

Some examples -

Taking a bigger Responsibility at work = Promotion

Being responsible for picking up kids from school = Happy Wife

Taking responsibility of being fit = Overall mood becomes better

Being responsible for your dog = Unlimited love from your dog to you till he dies.

So go ahead and be responsible for someone or something! It's a beautiful feeling!😊
